EUCLID University has donated 30 bags of rice to vulnerable people living in Brusubi Turntable as an effort of helping amid Covid-19 and in holy month of Ramadan.
Beneficiaries includes taxi drivers, watchmen, widows, the sick, old people, local Imams, and local staff of the University.
In 2016, EUCLID University won the first prize of US$25,000 during the United Nations Interfaith Harmony Week Celebrations.
Being established in The Gambia and viewing first-hand the country’s outstanding record of religious tolerance and Interfaith Harmony, as well as having witnessed the inter-religious conflict in the Central African Republic, EUCLID was motivated to participate in the UN’s Interfaith Harmony Week Celebration for the first time in 2016.
The World Interfaith Harmony Week was first proposed at the United Nations General Assembly on the 23rd September 2010 by H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan. On the 20th October 2010, the World Interfaith Harmony Week was unanimously adopted by the United Nations and henceforth the first
week of February of every year, is observed as World Interfaith Harmony Week.
EUCLID offers specialized degrees in inter-religious diplomacy and supports the International Institute for Inter-Religious Diplomacy.
EUCLID’s established its operational headquarters in The Gambia in 2013, and has its historic headquarters in Bangui, Central African Republic. EUCLID currently employs 9 full time local staff in The Gambia.
