The government of The Gambia has accepted to take a donation of Madagascar’s controversial Covid Organics, a herbal coronavirus cure produced in Madagascar.
However, the World Health Organisation has warned all nations against the use of the medication because it has not yet been scientifically proven, though the producer claims that it capable of curing the coronavirus.
But dozens of countries around the world especially Africa countries have been accepting the medication.
African nations including Senegal have been reaching out to the East African Island nation after the cure reportedly proved effective in spite the WHO advised against the use of it.
In a statement from The Gambia State House said: “The public is hereby informed that The Gambia has received a consignment of three boxes of Covid Organics from the President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E, Andry Rajoelina.”
“The consignment is part of a gift to ECOWAS countries towards the fight against COVID-19. They have been delivered to the Ministry of Health,” the statement added.
