Kairaba Pharmaceutical Company Donates Medical Drugs To Ministry of Health

Kairaba Pharmaceutical Company has donated huge medical drugs to the Ministry of Health which aims to support the Ministry in its efforts to prevention and curb COVID-19.

The donated medical equipment includes Painkillers, Multivitamins and antibiotics among other drugs.

Speaking at the Presentation, Anis  Chouman,  Managing Director of Kairaba Pharmaceutical Company said the Company has been in The Gambia for 28 years and he strongly believes that he is also part of The Gambia and should contribute to compliment government efforts in the prevention of COVID-19.

He noted that the Country like other countries in the world is at a trying time to find solution to the Pandemic and it needs everyone’s support.

He encouraged all businesses to come forward and gave their support to the government and Gambian people.

Receiving the medication at the Central Medical Stores, Kotu, Babanding Sabally, Director of the National Pharmaceutical Services Ministry of Health emphasized on the important of the donation which he described timely especially in this time when the World is grappling with Covid-19 .

He thanked Kairaba Pharmacy Company for the support and assured the donors that the drugs will be judiciously use for the desired purposes they are meant for.

Gibril Jarju, Director of Planning and Information at the Ministry of Health called on the private sector to emulate Kairaba Pharmacy to help in any means they can. He said whatever support everyone can make is meant to support the government not the president of The Gambia “but Gambian people.”

He thanked Kairaba Pharmacy for the good gesture noting that the Ministry value the support because is a worthy cause.
