Belgian friends Describes Nyodema School as true friends

The chairman of the Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) described the headmistress and her teaching staff at Nyodema Nursery School as true friends to his organization for almost 17 years now.

Patrickde Vos made this statement on Friday during the presentation of sponsorship packages to their sponsor students of 31. They also gave out 22 bags of rice totheir sponsors at the said School in Region One.

Mr. Vos recalled the early days when his organization started sponsoring the students attending Nyodema Nursery School which he said was in 2003 with10 students only.

“Some of those students are now in high position within the various institutions in the country which for me is a plus to our organization and in particular Nyodema Nursery School,” Patrick de Vos stated.

He informed the school administration and the parents of the Belgian sponsor students that his organization is the main link between the sponsor students and their Belgium friends back in Belgium.

He described school as an institution where parents, school administration and students have big role to play in its development, adding that his organization is proud to be associated with Nyodema Nursery School.

Sainabou Jobe thanked Belgian friends through their chairman, Patrick de Vos for their good initiatives in inculcating quality education to the future leaders of this country.

She urged the parents to build interest in their children’s education so that they can become responsible citizens tomorrow in order for them to benefit themselves and their family.

The Headmistress of Nyodema Nursery School, Mrs. Mariama Secka-Darboe informed parents that their Belgian friends change the lives of his school into higher-heights.

As parents Madam Darboe went on, we need to monitor the movement of our children at all times because in future it is these children who will take care of us when we become old.

“They provided us with borehole which can provide almost 4000 liters of water and that encouraged my school to extend the gesture to the community of Manjai-kunda byinstalling public stand taps in the streets,” Headmistress Darboe revealed.
