Training Camp to Handle Demonstrations Underway in Mansakonko

The Gambia Police and selected units from others security institutions are currently undergoing a learn strategies in handling demonstrations in Mansakonko reliable sources confirmed to The Voice.

Sources said the training comprises of different units, revealing that the Police are in the large number on the training.

It could be recalled that in July Mr.Mamour Jobe, Inspector General of The Gambia Police was in Liberia to Learn strategies in handling demonstrations

“Many homes are requesting that we shut down the units of police, here you called it Police Support Unit and Emergency Response Unit and we want to know how we can restructure ours,” Mr. Jabo said. “We are here to learn your strategies in handling demonstrations and the reforms, how did it work.”

The Gambia Police delegation also includes Samba Jawo, Deputy Inspector General of Police; and Ebrima Bah, Assistant Inspector General of Police. Efforts to reach Police Spokesperson fail, as he could not be reach.
