Political Adviser to President Adama Barrow has called on the leadership 3 years Jotna Movement to change their name into a language phrasing that majority of its backers and members speaks to 3yearsr Sita.
“Since no single Wolof living both in and out of the country is a member of the 3Yrs Jotna movement, it would be fair to call the movement 3yrs Sita”, said Dou Sano a former strong supporter of United Democratic Party
“Am not surprised with the statement of UDP at all, we knew that they will come out open to support this three years idea. Lawyer Ousainou Darboe and (UDP) are very much in haste to becoming president of this country and their latest move only confirmed that, UDP is behind the 3Yrs Jotna Movement”, Dou Sano pointed out
Sano made the indictment at the Headquarters of Barrow Fans Club (BFC) at Serrekunda where over members from Sukuta Nema LangNaayaa Kafo formally adopted Hon. Sainey Jawara as father
The members of the Kafo assured to support President Adama Barrow in carrying out his developmental goals and aspirations for the people of The Gambia.
“All those behind this movement and those sponsoring them are not from the Wolof ethnic group so why can’t they change their name to 3Yrs Sita rather than using a language that they don’t belong to. What we knew is that all those supporting and financing the 3Yrs Jotna Movement are all Mandinka’s so let them use 3Yrs Sita instead of 3yrs Jotna”, Dou Sano said while he challenged 3Yrs Jotna members to adopting a new name for their movement.
He urged 3Yrs Jotna Movement members to change their movement’s name into a language that they all speaks, arguing that using Wolof name is a cheating to the people who speaks Wolof as no single person from this ethnic group support 3yrs Jotna neither being part of its financers.
Sano reminded Lawyer Darboe to recalled the day that he branded President Barrow as Prophet Musa, informing the gathering that that if Ousainou Darboe can betray Adama Barrow who safe his life from the former President Yahya Jammeh, he Dou will not be surprise by the position taken by the UDP on the three years.
“Some selfish political impostors closed to Ousainou Darboe who are driven by cheap popularity, self-pride and narrow mindedness in the politics of the country are the ones disturbing the UDP Leader. These are the people who are also to be blamed for Lawyer Darboe’s latest U-turn to withdraw his support to defending Adama Barrow in court.
“If President Barrow want to step-down after three years it means he is betraying the trust of over two million Gambians who voted for him to rule for five years against the wishes of few disgruntled Gambians including the UDP members. President Barrow is here to stay to serve his five years mandate and anyone interested in his seat should wait for him at the poll by 2021”, Dou Sano explained.
Sano, former UDP supporter assessed the Lawyer Darboe only interest in the presidential seat given to President Barrow by the Gambians through the ballot-box, pointing that this has been manifested by Ousainou Darboe in both actions and performances.
“If President Barrow has his way to handover the presidential seat to Ousainou Darboe he would have done so long time but unfortunately the seat doesn’t belong to President Barrow but rather entrusted to him by Gambians who ask him to rule not Ousainou Darboe.
Dou Sano pointed out that the position by the former Vice President to annul his support confirmed that UDP is the main force behind the 3yrs Jotna Movement.
He also expressed his disappointment in Lawyer Ousainou Darboe for betraying the trust and confidence bestow on him by Gambian people, stressing that the Lawyer Darboe has change his previous position of defending President Barrow in court in case anyone challenge him to relinquish power by end of the three years Coalition 2016 agreement.
