Hon. Ablie Suku attends ECOWAS Parliament Seminar on ‘Intercommunity Conflicts’

Hon. Ablie Suku Singhateh, former member of ECOWAS Parliament is currently attending ECOWAS Parliamentary Seminar on ‘Transhumance and Intercommunity Conflicts’ in ECOWAS Region from 12-14 September, 2019 in Monrovia Liberia.

The overall objective of the seminar is to strengthen the capacity of members of ECOWAS Parliament on issues relating to Transhumance and the management Intercommunity Conflicts with ECOWAS area. In order to enable the parliament to contribute to the restoration of peace and security in affected areas.

Singhateh, served Ecowas Parliament for 10 years from 2012-2015 as chairman of Economic Policy responsible for single currency, and from 2015-2017 he was the chairman of agriculture committee.

Singhateh, former APRC  National Assembly Member for Lower Baddibu will served as  a moderator during the following presentations and debates includes -New issues related to Transhumance in the region; intercommunity conflict, terrorism and proliferation of small arms.

Singhateh, is the current propaganda secretary for United Democratic Party, he is expected to moderate on the topic “The Nigerian legislation on Transhumance and management of disputes between herdsmen and farmers harmonization on ECOWAS community on legal framework (decision December 5/98 on the regulation of transhumance between member states and regulations C/REG.3/01/03 on the implementation of transhumance regulations between member states)”
