Gambian Students in Russia formed a Union

Press Release-

The executive and the general body of the union of Gambian Students in Russia wish to announce to the General public, the Government of the Gambia, the Russian Federation student unions and prospective partners the reformation of the Union of Gambian students in Russia (UGSR).

This Consist of all Gambian students studying in different Russian universities and is the only recognized body that acts for or on behalf of any Gambian student who is/will be studying in the Russian Federation.

MISSION- To promote the well-being of Gambians students and better friendship, interaction, and understanding between the students and other groups in Russia, support extracurricular activities, build a partnership with both Gambian and Russian authorities.

And association will strive to spread Gambia culture and traditions across Russia through Exhibitions and cultural events that will showcase the peculiarity of Gambian hospitality and attract more tourists and researchers alike to Gambia wherein the UTG and others schools in the Gambia could benefit from bilateral exchanges with their Russian counterparts.

To help prospective students get admission into any Russian University provided that they got the admission requirements.

VISION-To bring all Gambian students under one umbrella and help find a solution to their problem we encounter in our academic quest by serving as an intermediary, providing advice and guidance where feasible.

Furthermore, the union will serve as a link to Gambian student aspirant to study in Russia, thus providing them with up-to-date information on what to expect when they make the journey to Russia.

Help reduce the tremendous amount of Gambian students drop out due to financial issues by lacing with the embassy, the Russian Government and the government of the Gambian by providing support.  To see Russian make the Gambia their preferred Tourist destination in Africa
