Bah Brands Rambo’s Remarks as ‘Lies’

By Adama Makasuba

Hamat NK Bah, leader of the National Reconciliation Party has branded a remark made by APRC deputy leader at a press conference as a ‘lies’, saying he has never requested a position of vice president from ex-president Yahya Jammeh.

Ousman Rambo Jatta, said recently at APRC rally in Brikama that “Hamat Bah betrayed the coalition government during their struggle and left the country and came back to asked former president Yahya Jammeh for the position of vice president.”

“How can I ask for a job for a government which is death that killed, buried? Let me give you the story on Christmas Day on the 25th  of December 2016 I received a call from somebody who said he is a Pastor and said to me  what he calling for  is an urgent matter,” Mr Bah said.

“When I was called and approached   about the position, I rejected the offer and told them to tell ex-president Jammeh that we have a place for him to go to avoid bloodshed,” Mr. Bah pointed out, noting that he will not mention names.

He added: “We don’t want to talk about it that much but if really Rambo Jatta…want we have more to say but we are stopping there because I know the person involved will make a statement because I call the person.”

He reveled that a man will soon issue a statement to debunk Rambo Jatta’s remark on him as he urged the APRC to think about the revelation at the coming TRRC.

However, he assured his party’s commitment to the building and development of the country and that his party is committed also for reconciliation.
