Imam Malick Islamic Institute has received D57, 000 in food items and learning materials from Jamiyaatu Alumaatu Alkaria Islamic Association in Kombo.
The items include 30bags of rice, 7bags of coos, onion, dry fish and 5gallon of 20litrs oil.
The president of Kerewan Muslim Youths Association Abubacarr Hydara commended the donation, describing it as timely.
“The donation would contribute greatly to improve learning environment for student,” he said.
The donation came at a time when student were collecting their daily food from homes, and this has really remain a greatest challenge for families.
Bafanding Hydara Secretary General of Kerewan Muslim Youth Association expressed delight for the support.
The Association Secretary General uses the moment to launch an appeal for support construction of staff quarter, accommodation block for student, electrification, and replacement of mats for the school mosque.
