The Njegan Brothers have launched a new Cylinder Gas Company limited along the Sankung Sillah road opposite Police Garage Kanifing.
The Company limited is established by Babucarr Njegan, (proprietor) double as (Chief Executive Officer) and Mr. Ebrima Njegan Deputy CEO of the company.
“One of the Mission of this company is to provide affordable Cooking Gas for every household in the Gambia and beyond. The “Slogan” is clean energy sources for every Gambian.
The Company limited is to reduce unemployment rates and protect our environment in a safe manner. The company target to employ 2,000 Gambian in the next ten years.
And this is the first Gambian based company procured branded cylinders in one of the most recognized company in China. The products aim to provide environmentally friendly sources of energy for all Gambian.
The launching was attended by various Managing Directors, Government representatives, President Barrow’s Sister Aja Maimuna Barrow and staff of Njegan Gas Company limited and religious leaders among others development partners in the Banking industry.
According to Njegan Brothers Gas Company limited, this business has been operating by this two brothers as “Bana -Bana “later upgraded, registered and incorporated as a company in 2018.
The Njegan Brothers Gas Company limited is the latest indigenous Gas Company with a nationwide coverage outlets operating across the length and breadth of the country.
The Njegan Brothers Gas company limited started with a small scale capital of D15, 000 dalasi and due to commitment , perseverance , hard work , determination , the business growth up to two million dalasi investment.
According to Njegan Brothers Gas company officials, the Gas cylinders in the long term will Lessing the dependent on our forest cover energy sources as well as improve the condition of the end users.
The role of cooking Gas is important as the Gambia seek toward reduce of the environmentally friendly sources of energy.
According to Mrs. Ramatoulie Njegan the wide of the CEO, said the branded cylinders automated filled machine and other accessories, are procured in one of the best company in china recognized for safety and security of the products.
The cylinders range from 3-6-50kg, (9kg) is newly introduced in the Gambia called Nopal Jet. The purpose of establishing Njegan Gas Company is to deliver cooking Gas to over a million existing potential customers in the country.
According to Madam Njegan, the management of this company deems it fitting to renew its commitment in improving the living condition of the Gambian by introducing of such initiatives. Thanks to Njegan brothers Gas Company limited.
She also disclosed that the Njegan brothers Gas Company limited recognize the immense support from the Government through the ministry of Trade, and the ministry of finance and Economy affairs in launching this multimillion project investment.

She disclosed that the two brothers were able to secure a facility to buy a truck and increase the working capital with the sole aim to boost our economy.
