Security Watch Africa to Award President Barrow

Security Watch Africa is expected to award Gambian leader Adama Barrow for his commitment to peace and security during turbulent times in Gambia.

This award coincide with it 15th Edition of Africa Security Watch Awards Conference/Exhibition in The Gambia on 13-15 November, 2018.

The event will be held under the theme: “Effective leadership and good governance” it is meant to bring experts across the globe to discuss the security challenges in Africa and come up with recommendations to curb it.

Patrick Agbamba, international Coordinator of Africa Security Watch Awards Conference/Exhibition explained that the conference is going to be in various components that is conference, exhibition and award night.

He added that the primary objective of the conference is to discuss the way forward on the security challenges in Africa and also recognized those working hard in maintaining peace and order in the society.

“We will be awarding President Adama Barrow, because of he came into leadership at a turbulent situation but he was able to handle the situation well without any chaos, and now he has shown that he has the capacity to lead The Gambia to stardom and we are challenging him to do more,” Patrick Agbamba told journalists.

He added that they will be awarding the minister of Interior Ebrima Mballow for striving hard in making sure all residents of Gambia are secure.

“We want them to do more because Gambia is opening up to more investment opportunities,” he noted.

He pointed out that: “We are celebrating Africa best in leadership, media and governance, so we are having lots of speaker so all lovers of security are encourage to attend to exchange idea for Africa peace and security.”
