Gambian international Gibril Sillah marked his return to Azam FC with a stoppage-time goal as the Tanzanian side defeated Namungo FC 2-0 in the NBC Premier League on Monday.
Sillah, who has returned to Azam after spending time away from the club, sealed the victory with a composed finish in the fifth minute of added time.
The goal was the Gambian left winger’s first of the 2026/27 campaign and provided a positive start to his return to the Tanzanian club.
Azam had already established its advantage before Sillah struck late, with his goal putting the result beyond doubt and completing a convincing home victory.
The result also maintained Azam’s positive start to the 2026/27 NBC Premier League season as the club looks to build momentum early in the campaign.
For Sillah, the goal provides an early boost as he begins another spell with Azam and looks to establish himself as an important part of the club’s campaign.
