Gambian attacker Alieu Njie came off the bench to provide an assist as ACF Fiorentina defeated Pisa 3-0 on Tuesday to reach the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.
The 19-year-old was introduced around the 60th minute, replacing Marco Brescianini, as Fiorentina looked to maintain control of the match.
Njie made an immediate impact, providing the final pass for Wilfried Gnonto to score Fiorentina’s second goal in the 71st minute.
The assist helped strengthen Fiorentina’s advantage and put the Italian side in a commanding position as they moved closer to securing qualification.
Njie showed energy and attacking intent during his time on the pitch, contributing to Fiorentina’s attacking play in the second half.
Fiorentina eventually completed a 3-0 victory to book their place in the Coppa Italia round of 16.
The Viola will face Napoli in the next round.
