The Commonwealth Sports Association of The Gambia will hold a press conference on Thursday to officially launch Team Gambia’s preparations for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The briefing is scheduled for 12:00 noon on July 16 at the GNOC Conference Hall and will bring together members of the media, sports stakeholders and partners.
According to the Association, officials will outline the country’s preparations for the Games, present the strategy for the campaign and introduce the athletes selected to represent The Gambia in Glasgow.
The press conference will also provide details of the support structures put in place for the national team and the objectives of Team Gambia ahead of the multi-sport event.
The Commonwealth Sports Association said the event forms part of its efforts to keep the public informed about the country’s participation in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and its preparations for the competition.
