Former Port Authority assistant coach Batch Samba Ceesay is set to join 15-time Gambian champions Real de Banjul as Sporting Director, according to reports.
Ceesay is expected to take up the new role after an extended spell with Port Authority, where he served as assistant coach and was part of the technical team that helped the Ferry Boys secure promotion to the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division.
He remained with Port Authority following their return to the top flight and contributed to the club’s campaign as they established themselves among the competitive sides in the division.
Last season, Port Authority finished among the top five in the GFF First Division, with Ceesay part of the technical setup.
His expected move to Real de Banjul would see him take on broader sporting and administrative responsibilities at one of the country’s most successful football clubs.
Ceesay’s proposed appointment comes as Real de Banjul prepare for the new season and continue to strengthen their sporting and administrative structures.
