Sabi United have received a D1 million financial boost ahead of their maiden campaign in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division.
The club’s preparations for the 2026/2027 season were strengthened after Mukeh Canara and President Adama Barrow each donated D500,000, bringing the total contribution to D1 million.
The financial support comes as Sabi United prepare to compete in the country’s second tier for the first time after securing promotion.
The contribution is expected to assist the club with preparations for the new season and help it meet the financial and logistical demands associated with competing at a higher level.
The promotion marks a significant milestone in Sabi United’s development, with the club now aiming to establish itself in the Second Division.
The latest financial backing provides additional resources as the club works to strengthen its preparations and build the necessary structures for its debut campaign in the second tier.
