Newly promoted Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two side Sabi FC will begin preparations for the 2026/27 season on Thursday, October 1, as the Upper River Region club prepares for its first campaign at the national level.
Sabi FC secured promotion to Division Two after overcoming Jamcity in a triangular play-off, marking an important milestone in the club’s development.
The promotion has opened a new chapter for the Upper River Region representatives, who will now focus on adapting to the demands of national-level competition.
With pre-season set to begin, the club’s technical team is expected to focus on squad building, tactical preparations and improving the players’ physical fitness ahead of the new campaign.
The October 1 start will give the coaching staff and players an opportunity to establish the foundation for the club’s Division Two campaign.
Sabi FC will be hoping to build on their promotion success and make a competitive start to their debut season in the country’s second-tier football competition.
