As the year runs to an end, the Banjul Cultural Festival Task Force Committee members continued working hard to have a fruitful and remarkable celebration of this second largest annual festival celebration held in Banjul, Gambia from the 24th December through to the cock crow of the 2nd January of the New Year.

The highly anticipated annual event draws thousands of people to the capital city of the destination to participate in the festival, including indigenes, visitors, and tourists from across The Gambia and beyond.

As usual, the task force committee last week held its weekly meeting at the conference hall of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Banjul.

Chairing the meeting on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, was Hassoum Ceesay, Director General of the National Centre for Arts And Culture (NCAC), saying the meeting provided a platform for the various groups to update the task force on progress made toward organizing this year’s upcoming festivals.
