GFF-APS Wallet Men’s Second Division: Week 14 Produces Goal-Filled Action

Week 14 of the GFF-APS Wallet Men’s Second Division League delivered thrilling results, with 20 goals scored across nine venues on Friday.

After a goalless first half, Elite United FC stormed to a 6-0 victory over Menmar Banjul United at the Live Your Dreams Academy Field in Basori. The home side dominated possession, pressed aggressively, and converted chances with clinical efficiency. Pierie Tamba scored a hat-trick, while Cherno Bah, Baboucarr Charty, and Saidou Badjie also found the net. Elite United played most of the second half with ten men after Mamadou Ndong was sent off for a late tackle.

Colley Stars FC extended their lead at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over 10-man Wagadu Football Club at the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum. Ebou Jatta opened the scoring with an in-swinging set-piece, and Babucarr Suso sealed the win with a long-range strike deep into stoppage time. Wagadu’s captain, Muhammed Kanteh, was sent off in the 26th minute following a reckless tackle.

In Kerr Jatta, Marimoo Pakfood FC came from behind to draw 1-1 with North Star. Yves Junior Gebtegnon gave North Star the lead with a thunderous strike, but Raymond Jatta equalized for Marimoo Pakfood with a 60th-minute header.

Kanifing East FC and Unique Global played to a goalless stalemate at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

At the Bakau Mini Stadium, bottom-placed Serrekunda FC secured their second win of the season with a 2-1 comeback over AJ Soccer. Modou Jarju put AJ Soccer ahead in the 55th minute, but Amrit Tijan Coker and Ebrima Sarjo turned the match around for Serrekunda.

Wallidan FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to SuwoKono Football Club at the Jarra Soma Mini Stadium, with goals from Kawsu Ceesay and Cherno Sey.

Gunjur United FC’s home struggles continued with a 2-0 loss to Baalor Sarr, as Emanuel Joof and Omar Colley scored.

At Kabakel, Gambia Armed Forces ended a four-game winless streak by beating RS Tallinding FC 2-0, courtesy of goals from Pafara Gomez and Sang Pierie Gomez.

Finally, Sibanor United FC suffered a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Serrekunda United at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama. Muhammed Lamin Touray’s sixth-minute strike proved decisive.
