Scorpions Arrives in Saudi Arabia for technical training

The Gambia National team (Scorpions) has arrived in Saudi Arabia for eight day technical training camp ahead of the Afcon Finals in Cote d’Ivoire, GFF Facebook page reported on Tuesday.

The Scorpions left the shores of the Gambia in the early Monday for the Holy Kingdom, where the team will conduct training sessions to hone their skills.

Tom Saintfiet and his charges will return to Banjul on the 9th of January, where the team is expected to receive the battle flag from the Presidency and hold a press conference with journalists before their departure to Cote d’Ivoire.

The Gambia in Group C will be based in Yamossokoro and will open its group campaign against Senegal on the 15th January at the Charles Konan Banny stadium before taking on Guinea four days later on the 19th for the second outing and the final spot against Cameroon on the 23rd January 2024 to complete the group stage matches.
