Accused Pleads Not Guilty in Alleged Robbery case

Ali Bah has said “I am not guilty of the offense” he was charged with before the Kanifing High Court presided over by Justice Isatou Janneh on Tuesday when he was taking his plea of a robbery case that took place at the Mansea Beach Hotel in Kololi.

When the interpreter interpreted the statement and particulars of his offense Ali Bah said “I am not guilty of the offense”.

The plea was recorded by the court and the matter was adjourned to Thursday 27th April 2023 at 1:30 pm for a hearing.

According to the statement of his offense Ali Bah is charged with robbery and the particulars of his offense stated that Ali Bah on or about the 5th day of May 2022 at Mansea Beach Hotel allegedly attacked Foday Sanyang and Jankey Gibba with a knife and forcefully took away their bag containing two mobile phones marked iPhone 11 pro ash costing twenty-eight thousand dalasi (D28000), Huawei phone white costing two thousand eight hundred dalasi (D2800), Hawaii white phone valued at fifteen thousand dalasi and a cash amount of twenty-two thousand dalasi (D22000).
