Foundacio’n Kalilu Jammeh donated furniture, medical equipment to schools and Illiasa Minor Centre

 Foundation Kalilu Jammeh, a Community-Based Organisation based in Girom Village of Upper Badibou in conjunction with the Spanish Partners have donated some furniture to schools and medical equipment to Illiasa Minor Centre in North Bank Region.

The foundation provides support to the orphanage in the form of uniforms, shoes, bags, and feeding.

 Fundación Kalilu Jammeh was established some years ago to support vulnerable people in society, particularly orphans. The Fundacio’n focused on Education, Health, and Agriculture aimed at complementing government efforts and bridging barriers to youths’ empowerment drive.

 KaliluJammeh the Founder and Chief Executive Officer described a high level of collaboration between the Foundacio’n Spanish partners as excellent in providing much-needed support to vulnerable peoples and institutions. The donation to Illiassa Minor Health Centre is crucial, noting that the facility provides treatment to the catchment area and beyond.

 The items donated to the center included some dressing materials, uniforms, and injection equipment. CEO Jammeh asserted that the Foundacio’n will continue to support the health sector to effective healthcare service delivery. Some of the items that cannot be used by the minor health center will be given to Farafenni General Hospital.

 He thanked the management and staff of the facility for their collaboration and utiliazation of donated materials.

 The beneficiary schools include Abubakr Siddio Arabic School of Nookunda of which 20 chairs were donated. 

 Kalilu said the mandate of the foundation’s key work is to help the education of orphans but also children in general.
