Accused pleads not guilty of Murder

Tamsir Secka, a driver from Lamin Village standing trial for killing one Momodou Badjie, a 78-year-old man, in a fatal car accident that occurred in Foni Bajagar in October 2021.

Tamsir Secka taking his plea at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Aji Bintou Faal pleaded not guilty of the offense, as he denied killing Momodou Badjie in a car accident.

Meanwhile, according to the charge sheet, Tamsir Secka on the 17th October 2021 at Foni Bajagar village between the hours of 1:00 to 1:30 pm drove a motor vehicle with the registration number KM 9283 C Mitsubishi private car in a rash and negligently caused the death of one Momodou Badjie, a 78-year-old Gambia.

However, Magistrate Aji Bintou Faal adjourned the case to the 14th of February 2023 for a hearing.
