Sanchaba United has started their Tujereng Nawettan tournament with a smile after defeating Jah Guide 2-0 during their opening of the Tujereng Nawettan football jamboree played at the town’s football field on Sunday.
Mannar Jatta opened the scoring for Sanchaba United in the 35th minute before Babanding Saho doubled their lead in the 45th minute of the game.
Speaking to Voice Sports in an interview Dembo Jatta, 1st vice president of Tujereng Sports Committee disclosed that his committee engaged the youths and football lovers in various sporting competitions.
”We are facing financial challenges and I hereby call on football lovers, philanthropies, and NGOs to invest in Tujereng Sports, VP Jatta noted.
The Public Relations Officer of Tujereng Sports Committee Musa Jatta stated that this year’s nawettan season will be the best sporting season in Tujereng village and her surroundings.
He noted that their committee is intending to introduce a sports week that will include wrestling, athletics, volleyball, and award nights for participants.
He noted that they are also building a team for the Gambia Football Federation 2nd Division League.
