Scorpion’s winger, Lamin Jallow hailed The Gambia local-based team (CHAN) for having a very solid defense line and as well played with compactness.

The Gambia professional attacker, Lamin Jallow was speaking after a charity game between the Gambia local-based players (CHAN) and the Gambia Foreign-based players (Professionals) played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Monday evening.

The game which ended goalless stalemate was graced by hundreds of spectators together with electrifying support from the two fans clubs- the National Scorpions Fans Club and the Smiling Coast Fans Club.

The friendly match was also meant to help Coach Alagie Sarr and his team prepare for the CHAN qualifiers next month.

“The Gambia has very good talents, players and coaches. The CHAN team is very good. They are very compact and solid in defense. I can see that they (CHAN Team) has a good structure which is very important,” said Lamin Jallow who captained the Gambia Foreign-based players.

According to him, if the CHAN Team keeps pushing with such performances they can qualify for the CHAN Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria.

The 26-year-old added that they feel really happy to play back at home before the fans, noting that they can’t pay the Gambian fans for their support.

“I am really happy seeing the fans turn out again at the stadium. I cannot wait to see them again during our September game against Mali in Banjul,” Jallow further said.

Meanwhile, Jallow who played for Real de Banjul in local football became professional in 2014 after he signed for the Italian club Chievo Verona in 2014.
