Tallinding, PSV Wellingara beaten, Gunjur Utd held in GFF 2nd Div. rescheduled fixtures

Tallinding United and PSV Wellingara were both beaten, while Gunjur United were held to a draw during their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League rescheduled fixtures played on Tuesday.

Tallinding United were defeated 1-0 by Medical during their week-14 rescheduled fixture played at Basori on Tuesday.

Buffer Zone boys, Tallinding, now suffered their third defeat of the season, while Central River Region-based team, Medical, now collected their seventh victory of the season.

Medical overall collected seven wins, four draws and suffered six defeats after 17 games, while Tallinding United overall earned eight victories, six draws and conceded three defeats after 17 games.

The defeat dropped Talliding United to 3rd position with 30 points, leveled with second-place Gunjur United, while the win moved Medical to 9th position with 25 points, leveled with B4U Kiang West.

Kanifing East defeated PSV Wellingara 1-0 during their week-14 rescheduled fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.

The newly promoted side, Kanifing East registered their fourth win of the season, while Wellingara-based team, PSV conceded their sixth loss of the season.

The Eastern boy, overall collected four wins, nine draws and conceded four losses after 17 games, while PSV Welingara earned nine wins, two draws and suffered six defeats after 17 games.

The triumph moved Kanifing East to 11th position with 21 points, while the defeat dropped PSV Wellingara to 4th position with 29 points.

Red Hawks FC held Gunjur United to a 1-1 draw during their week-11 suspended fixture played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday.

Struggling side, Red Hawks now conceded their fourth draw of the season, while the Coastal Town boys, Gunjur United conceded their sixth draw of the season.

The Reds, Hawks, overall collected four wins, four draws and suffered nine defeats after 17 games, while Gunjur United overall registered eight victories, six draws and two defeats after 16 matches.

The result maintained Red Hawks on 15th position with 16 points, leveled with Waterside and Wagadu respectively, while Gunjur United occupy 2nd position with 30 points, leveled with Tallinding United.

At the time of going to press, Greater Tomorrow was playing against Latrikunda United (WK 15) in their week-15 rescheduled game playing at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.

Gunjur United will also be playing their final week-16 suspended game against Wagadu on Saturday, at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.
