Gambians Advised Ahead Of December Election

In a statement obtained by The Voice, Malang Daffeh a young accountant has called on Gambians to be peaceful ahead of December presidential election,  “as election is just at the corner, I want to sail you through the promised land of the Gambia we want in 2021”.

The young accountant said The Gambia is a very small country within West Africa and with her Beautiful culture displaying everyone, the love that is shared among the bond that bring the people together which makes the country to be known globally as the Smiling coast of  Africa.

Since 1964, he said, The Gambia gained her independence from the Great Britain to become Independent State, the mutual love and understanding within Gambians should always be protected for national interest. He said Gambians need to learn from people like Edward Francis small and Sir Dawda Kairaba and the entire team that facilitates The Gambia Independent as the country continue to enjoy freedom today.

Advising fellow citizens he said “the past Government has done something good to better the lives of the people, even though it was a dictatorial rule under former president Jammeh and I know the development of the country is always working in progress”.  He quickly added that the Government should ensure that everyone has a basic necessity that will help to have a good standard of living.

Daffeh therefore called politicians to help remedy the country`s situation from the high rate of maternal death due to poor health facilities, as there is  no woman should be given life and die on that process.

He went further challenged politicians that when voted into power they should put their focus on building “high standards health facilities and equip them with professionals, competent and enthusiasm doctors and nurses” that will look after pregnant woman both postnatal and antenatal caring shall be given to pregnant women for Free, he opined.

He as well dwelled on bad roads, traffic congestions; poor educational system; the issues of youths unemployment rate which stands at 38% or more is not encouraging, “it’s a  bad signal for this nation. That is one of the reasons that thousands of youths have lost their life in Mediterranean Sea searching for greener pastures.”
