The Press Secretary for Gambia Action Party (GAP) has said President Adama Barrow doesn’t care about the welfare of Gambians, as he dismissed NPP and APRC alliance.

Speaking to this medium exclusively, Shiekhna Faal said: “President Barrow is desperate and due to that fact, he is doing anything just to continue to be in power that’s why the Janneh Commission failed. Even even the TRRC is next on the list to be failed. [President] Barrow should be wise enough to be able to differentiate between darkness and light because the people around him are destroying him and the entire country at large.”

He added that it “is high time for the Gambia people to know that Barrow doesn’t care about the welfare of its citizens, if he do care, he will mitigate solutions to the murder cases, health sector, development, business and of course the education sector of the country.”

According to him, every conscious Gambian knows Barrow did not form an alliance for reconciliation but for the purpose of him to cement his position in the presidency.

“GAP is opens to talks with any party that has the nation at heart and ready to sacrifice for the best interest of the next generation. As our party leader will always put it we are leaders and not followers as far as this election is concern. I therefore urge each citizen to restrain from any form of violence while we heading to the December polls, our weapons are the valid voter’s card which will assist us to make a change. We need to maintain the peace and tranquility.

“We are known as Smiling Coast of Africa and let’s not allow any politician to create havoc in our country, the politics of deception and character assassination should be a concern, if not it will destroy the political arena of this country. IEC has a big role to play in this election since the whole country is expecting free, fair and transparency of the results,” he divulged.
