By Mama A. Touray

The leader of Alliance for National Reorientation and Development (AN RD) party has said that President Adama Barrow has failed Gambians and that he doesn’t deserve to be re-elected into State House for the second term in the 4th December presidential election.

Ex General Lamin Bojang told The Voice that: ‘’President Adama Barrow betrayed, failed and deceived Gambian people and this is something that is unacceptable and we have all seen the utterances that is coming from our Head of State, the man we considered to be the president of this nation who supposed to be living by example’’.

“They are not statements that we would expect from a president of the State. He is not innovating, inspiring, leading and motivating us he is only pushing us down the drill,” he said.

Noting that cost of living in this country is skyrocketing and unbearable, electricity, infrastructural development is lacking and look at the infrastructural development road network – “if you build good roads for us while we are hungry then you have not done anything for us. So these are some of the facts that Adama Barrow is miss-prioritizing and he did not know what to do to satisfy Gambian people. But we are going to unseat him and ANRD has the tool strategy and way to do so come December 4th 2021.”

The ex-general alleged that President Adama Barrow said the price of commodities cannot be control, adding “that is lie, price of commodities can be controlled.”

He also commented on the situation of some Gambians due for deportation from overseas saying  “this arrangement that he thought he has stopped or blocked the deportation of Gambians this is just fake immediately after the election all those people will be deported. He has no muscles no idea how to work out an amicable arrangement with the EU for them to be able to absorb Gambians who are to be deported.”

He went on lamenting that the problems in the country are many and they are here for everybody to see, understand and listen carefully because the country has a leadership vacuum.

Meanwhile, he said that ANRD will make sure that they unseat Adama Barrow and the way that is going to be done they will let everybody know and if it is going to be a coalition or ANRD party alone their strategies will speak for them.
