Dudu Jah, Deputy Spokesperson of opposition Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) has denied claims that his party executives had held meetings with representatives of President Barrow where an agreement was reached to deliver D4million (Four million dalasis) and ten (10) pick-up vehicles to APRC party in exchange for the party’s loyalty and support in the forthcoming Presidential election slated for December 4, 2021.

The APRC Deputy Spokesperson reaction came barely seventy-two (72) hours after one Awa Sanyang, a staunch supporter of the party based in Finland went viral heaping allegations of misconduct and financial misappropriation as well as the readiness of the executives to sell the party to President Barrow and his National People’s Party (NPP).

The Gambian-Finish based APRC supporter alleged that a meeting was recently held at Fabakary Tombong Jatta’s house where an agreement to give APRC Party the amount of D4million plus ten (10) pick-up vehicles, revealing that this agreement is to take effect this week in exchange for APRC’s loyalty and support to President Barrow and the National People’s Party (NPP) in the coming Presidential election.

She cautioned the APRC executives to disassociate themselves from any attempt to mortgage the party to President Barrow and NPP, adding that it is very shameful that instead of APRC executives engages President Barrow on Yahya Jammeh’s return they are running for wealth.

“Fabakary, I want you to sign that where you and your executives are going to eat this D4million, we (supporters) are going to die there. We cannot seat and see you and few members of your executives to sell our party to President Barrow,” Awa Sanyang warned.

She added: “Fabakary if you want to resign you can go and do that with your supporters and formed your own political party but this party will not be sold in our presence, over our dead bodies.

“Instead of negotiating how Babili Mansa (Yahya Jammeh) should come and be the flag-bearer of the party with President Barrow, you are running for your pockets and keeping everything secret from the supporters.”

Sanyang argued that majority of the supporters of APRC are not supporting the party because of Fabakary Tombong Jatta but because of love for President Jammeh.

She therefore warned that if APRC executives did not change the style of running the party in secret she will come out viral in all social media platforms to expose their misdeeds.

In his reaction, Dudu Jah, APRC Deputy Spokesperson described the allegations as baseless and fabricated stories meant to distract the attention of the party and its supporters, adding that the APRC executive will seat over the matter soon with a possibility of calling for a press conference.

“I don’t want to preempt the position of the executives on these allegations because we are yet to discuss the matter. However, is my view, that the allegations are baseless fabrications that are far from the truth, meant to distract the party and our supporters,” said APRC Deputy Spokesperson.

He added: “All the allegations are far from the truth and are matters that have been on the table since 2018. We told our party supporters that we are on negotiations with the government for our properties that has been seized.”
