Impeccable sources closed to the management of Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have disclosed the appointment of former Gambian Ambassador to Dubai H.E Fansu Bojang as the new Director General of the nation’s air gateway.

The former Gambian Ambassador to Dubai is said to have succeeded and replaced Abdoulie Jammeh, who until recently have been occupying the position of Director General at the authority.

Though, is not yet clear to our source what may have been responsible for the change in management at the GCAA that resulted to the packing of Abdoulie Jammeh.

However, reliable sources closed to The Voice Newspaper has hinted that the former Managing Director of GCAA may have been complicit in the framing and implication of one Babucarr Sowe, former Air-Traffic Control manager at GCAA, who was accused and sacked for relaying information to Thomas Cook which may have been responsible to his going.

Sowe was accused of giving false information to Thomas Cook Company relative to the unsafely of the Banjul International Airport. He has since won his case at the Brikama Magistrate Court but yet to be reinstated neither paid for his benefits.
