Rambo sends warning to IEC ahead of December 2021 presidential election

Ousman Rambo Jatta, first deputy leader of APRC has sent a warning message to the Independent Electoral Commission saying they will not allow the electoral body to repeat what he called its “ridiculous mistake of 2016.”

‘We will never tolerate that kind of ridiculous drovers from independent electoral commission under the leadership of Chairman Alieu Momarr Njie together with ECOWAS, AU, UN, EU, Senegal and opposition parties who are not with APRC of its victory,” he told members at the congress held at PenchaMi Hall over the weekend.

He said they have already seen paragon from the independent electoral commission in the presidential election of 2016 where there was illegal interference with the election process by increasing the vote share of their favorite candidate.

According to him, it was deliberate manipulation that affected poor civilian coup d’état in the Gambia citing that they have a greater responsibility to help maintain social stability during election period and enduring that election is conducted fairly.

He said the nation is in hunt for their feature as they pursuing in solving the problem of the present including idleness and inflation of lack of security with illegally occupation of the Senegal forces in our country. “We are making an attempt to fulfill our national purpose, defend our territorial integrity and sovereignty to create and sustain a society in which all of us are equal,” he disclosed.

Borry Colley, second party leader said: “political party constitutes essential pillar of a vibrant democracy and when we consider popular attitude of political parties, they are considered highly leader sentry organizationally captive, wealth financial batters polluted in our society and narrowly focus on election year.”

He added that APRC stands above all these hindrances to build a better nation and they are working to regenerate its powers thereby ensuring people to continue believing that their feature lies with the party.”
