Yaya Bah, former staff of T.K Motors has expressed her frustration over the slow pace of her case filed before the Kanifing Industrial Court since 2018.
Madam Bah’s services with the T.K Motors were terminated on 18th January, 2018, pending on her refusal to sign a purportedly incriminating letter bearing the letterhead of T.K Export.
Though T.K Motors did not explicitly disclosed her reasons for termination in a letter addressed to her but Madam Bah, insisted that her termination is only associated with her refusal to signed and incriminating document on behalf of T.K Export.
“The only reason for the termination of my services to me is only connected to my refusal to sign a letter bearing the letterhead of T.K Export. I have never worked for that Company, and beside my supervisor insisted that I cannot read it content which triggered my consent not to sign,” Bah disclosed.
She told this medium that one of her senior supervisor Dagain Nyang brought the said letter for her to sign, adding that once she demands from her to read the content of the letter Dagain Nyang refused the request.
“Since my termination I have been going up and down to the Kanifing Court in my efforts to seek justice but still to no avail. I have also been following the matter with my lawyer Edu Gomez regarding the slow pace of case which is really frustrating me.” Madam Bah revealed.
Madam Bah, a housewife has been living from hand to mouth since her dismissal she told this medium that since 2018, she is without work, disclosing that she is currently entirely depending on her husband for sustenance and upkeep.
“I want to appeal to the Court as well as my lawyer to help me expedite this case, the back and forth is not helping me,” she appealed.
She added in dismay that “I have been wrongfully terminated, which is drastically affecting my livelihood and I think the best place to seek redress is through the courts,” Madam Bah told this Medium.
This reporter contacted Lawyer Edu Gomez to shed light on the matter but he declined to expound on what is holding the matter before the court. “You can please go to the court and find out from there what is holding the case. As for now, I can’t tell you anything about the case,” Lawyer Edu Gomez replied.
