Opposition Gambia Democratic Congress party is tireless move through political campaign to unseat Gambian leader Adama Barrow in the 2021 presidential elections.

Momodou MC Cham Jnr, the party’s youth president said: “The campaign for the presidency and other elected offices have longed been underway for the GDC since after the previous election season, what gave that method a break is the global pandemic which typifies our respect and adherence to the guideline given by health experts.”

“But notwithstanding, we are using our political forums and other media campaigning verbally and it seems going pretty well. As at now, we are preparing for the by-election slated for next month and we expect to retain those seats,” he added.

He however lashed out at President Adama Barrow to have “lost so many miss opportunities that could have helped him regain his already shattered image” adding that he continued to fail the nation.

He cited that: “The World Bank Covid-19 Relief Package through Nafa And Reliance Finance to Vulnerable Household in The Gambia With A Disbursement Amount of D3000 is been used by President Adama Barrow as a Campaign Tool, Claiming He Owns The Project. Gambian’s Are Fully Aware of The Circumstances Surrounding the Source of Funding and the distribution of D3,000 and rice to each Gambian is unrealistic, this are all ploys to get people out to cheer him and subsequently use as a propaganda tool.”

He urged President Barrow to desist from using what he called “the old tactics have lost value and people won’t fail for it.”
