By Adama Makasuba

A group of Police from the Anti-Crime Unit has been spotted on parade at the Banjul Ferry Terminal as they were deployed there to help implement social distancing.

The Unit Head – Gorgi Mboob was also spotted addressing them during the morning parade at Banjul Ferry Terminal.

Now, seating capacity of passengers in the ferry has re-arranged and cut down significantly in an attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19.

A seat on the ferry that used to contain or occupy by four passengers is now occupies by only two persons to allow space among each other.

Passengers plying the route, Banjul-Barra, through ferry are following the new rules ideally without any row over it, yet.

Meanwhile, some personnel of the unit are also spotted along Barra-Amdalai highway checking the passengers, too.

The Gambia is currently having 7 active cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s coronavirus case to 17.
