Spokesman of Brikama Area Council has denied claim made by market vendors of Brufut that they have not been paying tax to council for years.
Meanwhile, Lamin Singhateh who spoke to The Voice in an exclusive interview on Monday said: “Brufut vendors have not been paying their tax for three years and to be sincere it is a news to me if he is saying not to his knowledge.”
“It is our obligation as an institution to manage the taxes collected from people so that they will at least know that the taxes they are paying is generating one or two things for them,” he added.
