Some residents of Kaur who spoke to this medium expressed their disappointment over the incident, condemned the attack and described it as act of cowardice as well as act that is politically motivated.

“To me this act is politically motivated because the person who came here has no intention of stealing anything but just to destroy materials and go. This is why I say this could only be done by someone who is driven by political jealousy,” said Sako Nyang a native of Kaur Wharf town.

He added that “this act is cowardice that is meant to incite bad feeling on Dr. Touray so that she can neglect Kaur but this will not happen.” Hon. Sainey Jawara, National Assembly Member (NAM) also expressed his disapproval to the vandalism meted out to the house of vice President Dr.Touray, disclosing that the act is alien to the people and community of Kaur.

“I was shocked and disappointed with this act. This is something that is totally new in this area especially in Kaur.
