Spanish philanthropist donates to football gears Noo Kunda FC

Foundation Kalilu Jammeh of Girom in Upper Baddibou and Spanish partner from Andora, Spain donated sporting materials to Noo Kunda FC at a ceremony held at the community of Noo Kunda in the North Bank Region.

Kalilu Jammeh the Founder of Foundation Kalilu Jammeh a charitable organisation underscored the significance of working with young people in promoting grassroots football and foster unity among youths.

He noted donation of football by partner would promote social unity and foster mutual understanding in advancing youth development and self-assertiveness.

Jammeh called on government to help construct road linking to the village from Yallal Bah, noting that it would help enhance service delivery and whilst call on GSM Companies to put up mask antenna to address communication challenges.

Julen Guerrero, a team leader and football trainer from Andorra province of Spain noted that the gesture prompted him and team to raise fund to support the Kalilu Jammeh and Foundation following his visit to the Gambia two years ago. He said donation of football kits to Noo Kunda FC through Foday Dampha head coach of the team would contribute immensely to develop grassroots football.

Foday Dampha of Noo Kunda FC expressed delight on the support received by a team from Andora in Spain through Foundation Kalilu Jammeh. He said materials which include set of football and Jersey marked Noo Kunda FC, show their commitment of sport development.
