Illiasa Youth Association commits D5Million Support To Construction of Multipurpose Center

Youth of Illiasa Association has committed five-million dalasis to constructing construction of a multipurpose center in the village in a move to curb youth irregular migration.

The Association formed in 2012 that seeks to bring and unifying youth of the village, has brough lots of developmental projects and program to the community.

Association’s chairman, Lamin Nano Jammeh, who spoke during their annual general meeting said: “five-million had been spent for the construction of mosque and all it demonstrated the youth’s welfare to give back to the society.”

He also said part of their support development triggered the association to embarking on tree planting last rainy season

Association’s secretary general, Ismaila Jammeh expressed lamentation over youth irregular migration to has caused impediment challenges to youth development of the community.

Chief Ebrima Ansu Tamba Jammeh of Upper Baddibou noted that the enormous contribution of women to socioeconomic development of village.

He urged youths to avoid illegal way to Europe and noting that the recent loss of lives of youths in the Mauritania waters. Chief Jammeh thanks Illiasa Kambeng kafo of Kombo for the foresight and that it has triggered more Organizations to emerge and call on them not compete but to support each other.
