Mayor Bensouda: ‘UDP is a Party for all Gambians

Talib Ahmed Bensouda, Mayor of Kanifing Municipal Council has  said that United Democratic Party (UDP) is not a tribal party but a party for all Gambians.

“UDP has no tribe. The only qualification to join the party is citizenship,” he told thousands of party militants during a politically rally in Bakau on Sunday.

He describes UDP militants as patriotic, they pay their taxes as expected and they fight against littering in the country.

“We have no enemy. Our only enemy is corruption, I urge you all to serve as role models and contribute positively to nation building for the betterment of better Gambia for all,”

He stressed that the development of The Gambia lies in the hands of all, so let make it happen for the present and future generations.

Hon. Hassan Touray, National Assembly Member for Bakau constituency called on all Bakau residents to shift their allegiance to the UDP because they have a very good master plan for the development of The Gambia.

Pa Ceesay, UDP Youth Coordinator for  Bakau constituency assured the UDP leadership that his constituency is a no go area for other political parties.

He added that his political team had already leveled the ground for the party ahead of the next presidential election.
