Babylon Basic Cycle School Graduates 36

Babylon Basic Cycle School in Lamin Village of West Coast Region, over the weekend held its 1st ever graduation and prize giving ceremony at the school premises.

Delivering his keynote address before the grandaunts, with theme: ‘’Career Choice Development and Discipline’’, the guest speaker on the occasion, the senior education officer at the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary School, Abdoulie N. Baachathanked and celebrate the graduates, teachers and parents without whose concerned efforts people would not witness this important occasion.

According to Mr. Baacha, career choice is complex and multifaceted by nature adding that it has attracted the attention of scholars and practitioners from a wide range of discipline, predominantly in psychology, sociology, anthropology as well as economic and organizational behaviors.

Mr. Baacha therefore informed that Babylon Basic Cycle School administration has made a wise move in their choice of theme as they part with their graduating class of 36 students.

He advised the outgoing students to choose a career that will lead them to a right job thus couple with a high degree of discipline stressing that choosing a career is perhaps the most important decision for an individual.

’’Choosing a career has far-reaching effects on one’s future in terms of income, lifestyle, status and job satisfaction in the future because a career one chooses determines his or her income,’’ Baacha said.

He said there is very important concept that is needed to enhance the attainment of career choice development, noting that everyone is aware of it, but few truly understand that. It is vital to every living being without it, the world around us would be in chaos, that is discipline.

Giving his school annual report, the Principal of Babylon Basic Cycle School in Lamin village, Essa Touray informed parents that 36 students graduated from his institution.

He informed that his institution is heavily staff  while are with bachelors  from UTG adding that his school is committed to  the  development of his teachers thus noting that Babylon Basic Cycle School hired  the services of teacher s from Holland who spent four week intensive training in the school with his entire teaching staff.

According to Principal Touray, his school will continue to partner with the Spanish and Dutch to deliver better Primary Health Care (PHC) to the students of Babylon Basic Cycle School.

Mr. Touray finally urged the outgoing students to continue their hard work wherever they find themselves in these four corners of the world  while stating that as students they should remember that  they are the ambassador of the Babylon Basic Cycle School as they were the 1st batch of students to graduate at the school.

Prizes and certificates were awarded to the students with interludes of Poems, drama, News presentation by the press club members of the school while both the outgoing head-boy and outgoing head-girl of the school made speeches before their beloved parents.
