Dr. R.P Gupta, Director of B.I.S Group institute of India has sensitized the outgoing students and teachers of Brufut Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School on his institutions´ enrolment process which was held on June 13, at the school computer lap.

The sensitization was aimed at enlightening the Gambia students on the modalities to be enrolled in the B.I.S Group Institute of India as well as informing them on the courses that the institution offers. The B.I.S institute comprises of six colleges situated in India.

Speaking to the participants, Dr. Gupta said that he deems it necessary to sensitize the students regarding the establishment of his institution due to Gambians dedication and commitment to education. He also stated that the institution grants a sponsor of 50% for every student and those short listed candidates will pay the other 50%.

“This institution is a group of six colleges that offered different courses including pharmacy, engineering, management and business. These courses are affiliated to Panjam Technical University. This University is widely known in India and beyond,” he said.

 He then added that: “This institution offered health courses such as pharmacy and medical lap technology.  The pharmacy includes diploma, graduation and post graduation but a candidates must obtained Junior or Senior Secondary School Certificates including General Science to be enrolled for this course.”

 Dr. Gupta also a lecturer further said: “All the courses that the college offers are approved and recognised by the Indian government and other recognised bodies include the Council for Technical Education and Council of India.”

He added that medical lap technology can be offered in diploma, graduate and post graduate, noting in this case the qualification for diploma is junior secondary while graduate and post graduate are senior school graduates.

“We offer mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering and electronic engineering for both diploma and bachelor courses. The civil, computer, electronic engineering and information technology courses are for diploma.

According to him, students can offer Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor in Commerce (BC) studies.

“We also offer Bachelor in Agriculture among other different course with fees,” he added.

Alhagie Jaiteh, the country’s focal person for B.I.S announced that interested candidates can apply through Brufut Junior and Senior  Secondary School, adding successful student will be accommodate in the school India.

Saidou Sonko, Vice Principal of Administration for Brufut Upper and Senior Secondary commended Dr. Gupta and the team for enlightening the youngsters about the Indian institution. He called on the participants to apply for the aforementioned course so as to further their education.
