ISFH Board Faces Numerous Challenges- Board Chair

Cherno Barra Touray, the chairman of the board of directors of the independence Stadium and Friendship Hostel (ISFH) has said that the board in reality faces a huge task undoubtedly with numerous challenges.

“….. But we shall map out our ideas with the management and put all those ingredients into consideration and will surely rise to the challenges,” Touray said during the inauguration of ISFH board on Tuesday at the independent Stadium in Bakau.

He said they should maintain the better relationship between these institutions with stakeholders other institutions be it government or the private, national Sports Federations, Association, groups, individuals and partners in development.

He noted that the board will also consider reviewing the current agreements, arrangements, rates and percentages because we will not allow our reputation and credibility to be dented.

Touray urged the management to come up with an effective strategic plan that would need an operational management mechanism in place in other to achieve the institutions desired objectives.

He further appeals for continuous with substantial support and assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the office of the President to build another stadium because country has only one standard stadium in the country.

 

Hadrammeh Sidibeh, Minister for Youth and Sports called on the new board to work on their proposal in order to get a fund from the other institution for the maintenance of the Stadium and the Friendship.
