Hawks FC draw against Brikama Utd

Hawks Football Club played out a goalless draw against the Brikama United at the match day six of the Gambia Football Federation Division one league tie on Saturday at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Both teams have started the game brightly with more attacking option and they created a goal scoring opportunities but none of the teams were not able to break through in the first 45 minutes.

From the dress room, both teams with and attacking approach to show case their talents with beautiful display of the football  in other to broke the dead lock but two teams defense line did not allow each other in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

From that ticktack way of football, Red Boys of Hawks change the pattern of the game dominating the ball possession and created a goal chances but Sayteba Boys did not allow them to penetrate.

After those chances, the Boys from Brikama comfort themselves to be in the game and they got the control of the game in other to register their first goal before the final whistle of the game but time is not on their favor as Gambian International referee Mawdou Jallow blow his final whistle of the day and the game finished goalless at the regulation time.

Alieu Jagne, head coach of the Hawks Football Club said he is happy with his Boys performance during encounter with Brikama United because they played a good football.

“As you know that Brikama United is not a small team in the first division there is a few errors rectify before our next encounter so that we can collect a maximum three points,” he told journalists shortly after the game.

Momodou Lamin Nyassi, Brikama United coach said he is comfortable with the performance of his team despite playing a goalless draw against Hawks though our aim is to win the game but share a point also is not a bad result.

Elsewhere in Serekunda East Park, Banjul Utd defeated the Orange Boys of Manjai Marimoo by a lone goal to nil from Muhammed Samba 64 minutes goal to put the City Boys in front.
