Ras Emmanuel, a New Jersey based reggae Ambassador has told students in Gambia that education can develop Africa from poverty.
Ras arrive in Gambia to launch his new album titled “That Day” on 16 November, 2018 at Moses Lodge Jarra Soma.
On 17 November Farafenni High School, on 24 November Basse Youth Center to be back by African Light Sound.
While addressing students at Nasir Upper and Senior Secondary in Basse Upper River Region Of The Gambia he said: “Africa is the home of all civilization and the world is built from Africa and everything in the West is from Africa. Our iron, our education they stole from Africa, so why in myself not to see where all these things come from”
He advised students to respect their parents because the parents are the first mother, but if the youths did not listen to the parents things won’t be better.
He stressed that education is one of his message as to take Africa from poverty.
“If we African are more educated, the world will kneel in our feet because what we have here the world want it. Everything that the world is doing right now is from Africa.”
He added that: “My motto for Gambians and African Youths is to respect their parents and educate themselves to develop Africa for the betterment of all”.
He commended Ras Iray, Color Heritage and whole orthodox family and DJ Mutaburaka for motivating him to come and spread UNTIL THAT DAY message in Gambia.
Earlier on, Mamadi Ceesay, Principal of Nasir Upper and Senior Secondary School welcome Ras Emmanuel for traveling far to come and inspire students on the importance of education.
