Former footballer and football association presidential aspirant Musa Jammeh has unveiled his manifesto and officially launched Team Falconz, a platform through which he aims to advance the development of football in The Gambia.
The launch ceremony brought together football stakeholders, former players, administrators, government officials and supporters to hear Jammeh present his vision for the future of the country’s football.
Speakers at the event underscored the need for stronger football governance, improved leadership and sustainable development across all levels of the game.
Several football stakeholders and former players welcomed the Team Falconz initiative, describing it as a platform that seeks to expand opportunities for young footballers, strengthen club football and promote the overall development of the sport in The Gambia.
According to Jammeh, his manifesto proposes reforms aimed at increasing investment in grassroots football, strengthening youth development programmes, enhancing support for clubs and football academies, improving competition structures and creating clearer pathways for Gambian players to compete internationally.
The launch of Team Falconz marks a significant milestone in Jammeh’s campaign for football leadership, with the movement presenting itself as a platform focused on unity, ambition and the long-term development of Gambian football.
