Gambian international defender Yaya Bojang has completed a transfer to Portuguese top-flight side FC Alverca, signing a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.
The move marks the latest step in Bojang’s European career following his spell with Danish club Odense Boldklub (OB).
The defender joins FC Alverca after making 30 appearances for Odense during the 2025/26 season, including 11 starts, and playing a total of 1,224 minutes across all competitions.
Bojang has also represented The Gambia at senior international level, earning three caps for the Scorpions.
His move to the Portuguese Liga offers the defender an opportunity to continue his development in European football while adding to the growing number of Gambian players competing in top leagues abroad.
FC Alverca will be hoping Bojang’s experience and versatility strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season.
