Brikama recorded impressive victories in both the men’s and women’s categories as Week 10 Day 1 of the 2026 National Volleyball League produced a series of competitive matches.
In the men’s division, YMCA defeated WAA Banjul 3-0 in straight sets, winning 25-9, 25-18 and 25-20.
Brikama also secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over GFRS, taking the sets 25-8, 25-15 and 25-14.
In the day’s final men’s fixture, Olymp/SK East defeated Hamza 3-1 after recovering from the loss of the second set. The winners claimed the match with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-19.
In the women’s division, WAA Banjul overcame YMCA 3-1 after recovering from a second-set defeat.
Brikama maintained their winning form with a straight-sets victory over GFRS, taking the match 25-17, 25-13 and 25-21.
Hamza completed the day’s programme with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Olymp/SK East in a five-set contest.
