Gambian Women’s League champions Berewuleng FC have strengthened their squad ahead of their continental campaign with the loan signing of Sierra Leonean winger Mariama Sambu from Ram Kamara FC.
Sambu, regarded as a talented attacking player with pace and creativity, joins the Gambian champions with valuable experience and is expected to play a key role in the club’s preparations for upcoming competitions.
The Sierra Leonean forward has completed her travel arrangements and is expected to arrive in Banjul from Freetown to join her new teammates.
Sambu attracted attention during the recent WAFU A CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal, where she delivered impressive performances for Ram Kamara FC.
Her pace, attacking ability and creativity during the tournament highlighted her potential as a major addition to Berewuleng’s squad.
The signing represents another indication of Berewuleng FC’s ambition to compete at the continental level and strengthen their position among Africa’s emerging women’s football clubs.
